This week I went on a journey to Shanghai to discover the Fall 18 Michael Kors Collection. First things first upon landing is a quick freshen up and then we're off to the press dinner. I chose a polka-dot suit from #SS18 and combed my hair back for a sleek and smart dinner look. You're looking at the first sneak peek of the new Whitney bag that is due for release come Fall. Come a little closer and you'll find that the bag is designed with a hidden 'M'. Brownie points for you if you can guess what 'M' stands for!

This fall, love is indeed in the air. It sure is, with Michael Kors dedicating his Fall' 18 collection as a love letter to individuality. No doubt to that with the soundtrack playing a loop version of 'My Favourite Things', shows how much love it deserves. Cue Julie Andrews.

However, unlike the usual classic all American-glamour, this collection is a blend of eccentricity. Bold animal prints, patterns, colours are key elements for the pieces. One of the looks on my wishlist is the ruffled midi dress adorned with botanical prints. The list goes on with a pair of metallic pointy kitten heel and oversized tartan shopper. Besides hints of soft glamour, the collection also highlights a series of neutral-tone coordinates. A big camel coat paired with a red plaid tailored jacket and a leopard printed scarf helps add a pop to the red-nude combo.

Fall'18 might seem a little disoriented, but it reflects Michael Kors desire to design with diversity in mind. From an uptown look to a downtown girl, Michael Kors is bringing us to places with his mismatch ensembles.
