Seoul with Louis Vuitton SS'18
At Louis Vuitton, this in-between season calls for the curation of clothes of long-gone eras imbued with the spirit of today. Louis Vuitton launched its Pre-Fall’18 as a continuity from previous seasons. This week, I headed to Seoul to preview this special collection and work on an exciting collaboration to introduce key pieces from the season.
Sneaks of the Pre-Fall collection can be found on my Instagram stories (here) and will be released end May! Some key elements like these silk oversized blousons, 'Archlight' sneakers and belted vests from SS'18 will be seen again in new shapes, prints and interpretations for the later season.
Echoing the flowy silhouettes, the 18th-century style brocade frock coat reforms into futuristic daywear. Layering with this metallic paisley printed coat, I paired it with silk boxer shorts along with my Louis Vuitton mini Capucines in dusty pink.
Implementing sports luxe into historical costumes, this collection elevates stylistic features into essentials pieces. Thanks to athleisure, ‘Dad’ sneakers are undoubtedly one of the shoe trends lasting from previous seasons to Pre-fall. Inspired by the futuristic trend, the 'Archlight' from Louis Vuitton is as comfy as it is, iconic. I matched it with a leopard textured skirt and a beige trench coat, along with Louis Vuitton's City Steamer bag.
I ended the night with a full white outfit ensemble. Crafted in lambskin, the stylistic belt feature on the gilet elevates it into an essential piece to own. It is paired with a gabardine stretch pants and an iconic monogrammed twist handbag.
