FW19 Shoe Trends: The Biggest From Fashion Week
Just as how Carrie Bradshaw would say, "You can never have too many pairs of shoes". I’m a firm believer that great shoes take you to great places! In honor of the love we all hold for footwear, we’ve picked out the best shoe trends seen during fashion week. We’ve seen the revivals of the chunky dad sneakers, kitten heels and even flatforms. So, what’s next? Let's take a closer look at the most prominent silhouettes that’s trending next season so that you can prep your Fall wardrobes and shopping lists.
In the coldest of winter, we’ll see the return of the knee-high boots. However, this time round, the classic boot gets an upgrade for the season. Celine’s shearling lined leather boots is a chic twist on the winter staple. Elie Saab and Hermes reminds us that the over-knee-boot qualifies as core wardrobe pieces. As a continuity of her Pre-Fall 2019, Isabel Marant made subtle adjustments to the silhouette, creating boots with added volume for that extra detail.
Yes, dresses worn with loafers are now officially a thing! This versatile, comfortable and easy wearing style never goes out of fashion. Out of the four pairs, my favourite has to be from Maison Margiela, it’s preppy, edgy and feminine.
Kitten heels are currently back in trends for this fall season. This season, we’ve seen plaid heels decked out with beautiful embellished buckles on the runway at Dior. Nina Ricci reworked the classic everyday pump by adding in skinny straps. Take a note from the styling of Paco Rabanne, sheer sparkly tights worn with statement kitten heels!
