4 Highlighted Shoe Trends of SS'19

Besides the conventional runway garments that are usually the talk of the town, up and coming shoe trends are the second most anticipating part of the show. From architectural block heels to embellished bows, many designers have dug back to the archives for inspirations. Just like the upcoming Spring' 19 collection which involves many old trends except they are revamped. It is definitely bolder, fresh and modern. So, let’s cut to the chase, what can we expect? Here's a sneak peek of the shoes of next Spring.

DAD SNEAKERS (SALVATORE FERRAGAMO)

The chunky ‘Dad’ sneakers have made a sensation this year and it seems like it's not going anywhere. Although it is a continuation from previous seasons, there is still room for surprises. I loved this version by Ferragamo. The best part is the little features of milky and pastel panels with a holographic detail.

SOCK SANDALS (PRADA)

Another trend that will be big next season will have to be the sock sliders. Instead of a cringe-inducing combination, Miuccia Prada was able to blend the creation into an unusual twist seamlessly; these ‘sockdal’ features a cutout on the front and an open space for the toes. It also uses technical knits and sporty elements, mimicking water socks.

FRINGE ACCENTS (SERGIO ROSSI)

The upcoming collection featured dramatic fringe in different textures, lengths and shoe style. Looks like this trend will come full force next Spring. The Spring'19 collection from Sergio Rossi unveils the knee-length white coloured boots with the front leather fringe detailing.

NEW "IT" COLOUR (JIMMY CHOO)

It's true; the Gen-Z yellow is the new Millennial pink. Yellow represents energy and ambition; thus it translates the vibrant essence of the youngest generation. Don't believe so? The famous yellow plaid ensemble by Cher in Clueless was adopted and applied on the latest addition of Jimmy Choo classic DUMPLING slingbacks - now it’s official.
